Overview Project Learning Second Quarter

Dear Parents and Mentors of PBL,

We have finished the first week of PBL for the second quarter. All forms are being posted on the Project Learning page of the MCA website each week through the following link.
http://www.milfordchristianacademy.org/pl.htm Forms are numbered in the order they appear in the manual which is in the last stages of editing. The best way to track PBL is through the calendar page link. PBL Calendar Timeline Inventions I recommend you print it and put it on your refrigerator or wherever you post important dates. You can also track PBL thorough the weekly homework assignment posting. The PBL assignments will also keep you updated as to the skills taught throughout the project.

Mrs. Longval (7&8) longvalm@gmail.com and I paul.sontag@comcast.net (9-11) are instructing students diligently through each step. We hope this will keep you updated. We follow the calendar timeline exactly. Please contact us if you have any questions.

We are very satisfied with the progress all students made last quarter. W will display there projects on December 6th the same date as Christmas MCA

The Last Soccer Blog of the Season!

The MCA Eagles played a tough Jesse Remington High School team for the championship and came up a bit short. JRHS won the championship 4-0. The first half was a tough 35 minutes and the Eagles found themselves down 0-3 at half time. They came together as a team and played a great second half, but JRHS was tough on defense. This was a great season for the Eagles, they went up against much tougher competition this season. Coach Peterson is already making plans for next season!

A word from Coach Peterson: A great big thank you to everyone who played on the soccer team this season. You guys worked hard and played hard. You came through in a big way this tournament. You guys should be proud of the way you battled back against Parker Academy and Jesse Remington in the playoffs.

Also, thank you to all the parents who drove to all the games, even the far away games! You show of support for the team was fantastic! Thank you to all those parents who helped drive the players to the games, even if you were just driving your own player, it was a big help to me!

Soccer players should return their uniforms to the PE office by Friday, November 16th.

Sports Update

The MCA Eagles played their best game of the season today. This was the first round game of the tournament and the Eagles beat a tough ParkerAcademy team 2-1. Both goals were scored by Won Young Jang. Daniel Hartling had a great game in the net. The whole team played a great game, even Rachel Bourgeois! The Eagles move on to the Winners Bracket and will play Jesse Remington High School for the championship on Thursday, November 8th at 3:00. This is a home game for MCA, come down to the fields on North River Road and cheer the MCA Eagles on to victory!

Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Sontag are frantically working on getting a gym for basketball practice and games. As soon as they get this settled more information will be posted.

Next Parent Advisory Board Meeting

The next PAB meeting will be Nov. 8 @ 7 p.m. at MCA

The first half hour ( 7-7:30) will be open for parent/teacher input, ideas, etc.

We will be changing the B in PAB ( Board) to either Council or Committee at our next meeting. Why the change? Quite simply PAC has a better ring to it than PAB.

The time is now for change!
