Ready, Set, Go for 2008-09 School Year

Hello School Family,
MCA staff is ready for the beginning of school. Hope you had a great summer.
A few details for Tuesday:
1. Morning drop off is by the modular classroom underneath the basketball hoop. Enter by the side door into the sanctuary. School starts at 7:55.
2. All tardy students must report to office and sign in. Any student that arrives after 7:55 is tardy. There will be a parent volunteer to sign you in.


3. Two important dates :
Nascar 13th and 14th of September. We have not had good response to these fundraisers. They are exremely important for the operation of many of the supplemental programs. For this event any student who brings a friend can have $50 credit toward a sport's fee. Community service hours and volunteer hours credit are available. This is an easy $1000 per day!!! Please consider this opportunity.

4. September 11th: All school Parent Teacher Fellowship Night. Many details concerning school operation, PAC, website, grades and more. Please don't miss it. Meeting is not for children.

Handbook updates and more!

Dear School Families-
The revised Parent/Student Handbook is now available on line. Please note the dress code requirements/changes, found near the end of the handbook, as well as an updated financial policy.
The 2008-2009 school calendar is also available!
The Coed Soccer Schedule for this season has been determined and is available!

We are looking forward to another fantastic year at MCA!

Elementary Orientation

All elementary students and parents are invited to attend a student orientation Wed. August 27 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. We will meet in the sanctuary to go over a few things before going to the classrooms for an opportunity to look around and meet the teachers. Miss Gdanian, Mrs. Widner, and I are looking forward to the new school year. We hope to see all the students next week.

The Elementary grades are still looking for parent volunteers to teach art and music. This is a good way to get in your volunteer hours. Please contact Mrs. Hallowell (dalesueh@verizon.net) if you can help out.

Nascar Fundraiser

Hi Family,
I know many families decided to attend September Nascar fundraiser instead of the one in June. This is just a reminder about the dates, September 13th and 14th, We are scheduled for 20 people both days. This amount to over $2000. Remember any person 14 or older can participate. Volunteer hours and community service hours are available for all MCA families and students. These monies fund our extracurricular offerings. They are very important to PAC.
