COLD Season...TISSUES needed!

Dear MCA Family-
The first cold of the year has hit student and teacher alike!
Please recall that the supply list for each student included 2 boxes of tissues. If you have not sent in 2 boxes of tissues with each child, then we would like to encourage you to do that as soon as possible!
If, you know that your child has been sick and has most likely used an entire box of tissues, then we would ask that you consider sending in a replacement box.

Thank you! Praise God that He has designed our bodies to heal!!!!

Blessings

The MCA Eagles lost a tough game today against Concord Christian Academy. Concord came out on fire and at the end of the half they were up 2-0. The Eagles regrouped and played a tough second half and got on the scoreboard when Ryan Bourgeois scored. Unfortunately, MCA just ran out of time and the game ended 2-1. Dan Hartling had a great game in goal and everyone played a great second half.

MCA is home Wednesday against Jesse Remington as well as Monday against the RSEC Academy. Both games will be played at the MCAA Field, with game time around 3:30. Come down to the field and cheer the soccer team on!!

SCIENCE Field Trip for the 9th Grade!

Dear Parents of 9th Graders-
We are planning a field trip to Ruggles Mine in Grafton, NH on Thursday October 9th!
This field trip will compliment our study of rock types and formations! Actual rocks can be collected!

We will be leaving the school at 7:30 am and we will be returning by 2:40pm, in time for carpool.
Your science fee is covering most of the cost of this field trip, but $10 will be required to cover the cost of gas and a small percentage of the entrance fee.

Also note that this is an OUT OF TOWN field trip and we will need a separate permission form, in order for your child to attend. PLEASE plan to have all money (cash, or payable to Rhonda Lockwood) and permission forms into the school by Tuesday October 7th.

Students are to bring a bagged lunch.
Students are to wear appropriate long pants (BASIC jeans are acceptable), t-shirt and sweatshirt. Rugged shoes such as hiking boots or sneakers are a must! You are welcome to bring your own small bucket for collecting rocks as well as your own small hammer. There are tools available for rental should you not have you own available.

There are only 5 students attending this field trip, so no additional drivers are needed. Please feel free to contact me at the school should you have any questions.

Blessings
Mrs. Lockwood

Box Tops and Labels for Education

Hello all. I just wanted everyone to be aware that we do collect and use both of these programs. Mrs. Peterson has some new gym equipment thanks to all of you sending in Campbell labels! I want to encourage all to save them and get your extended families involved if possible. One point I want to make is that Campbells now requires the upc symbol and not the front label. To get a list of participating products, please see these web links.:

Parent Lead Prayer Gathering

Dear School Families:

Please see Kathy Crooker's note regarding lifting our school, students and families up in prayer!

“Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to him for the lives of your children,” Lamentations 2:19

In the spirit of Stormie Omartian’s book The Power of a Praying Parent, we would like to invite you to join with Milford Christian Academy in holding up our children in prayer throughout the coming school year. Our goal is two fold: 1) to daily cover our school family against the wiles of the devil, and 2) to be available to pray for specific prayers brought forward by the students and staff each day.

We would like to set our prayer time up from 8:00 to 8:30 AM each day as a parent led prayer gathering at the school. (The room is yet to be determined.) We are looking for one parent (or grandparent) for each day of the week willing to be a prayer facilitator for ½ hour – thus making prayer time available every day for our families. The hope is that parents will come in when they are dropping off their children in the morning and spend anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes praying for their children and their teachers at least one morning each week. Having time available each day also makes it possible for you as parents to have a choice as to when during the week would best fit your schedules.

If you would be interested in covering one day a week for ½ hour as a prayer facilitator please contact Kathy Crooker (603-880-4077) or e-mail at ctribe6@juno.com and please pray that the Lord would raise up a powerful prayer team for our children.
“All that needs to happen in our lives and the lives of our children cannot happen without the presence and power of God. Prayer invites and ignites both.” Stormie Omartian, from The power of a praying Parent.

Blessings,

Mrs. Lockwood
